Suburban Centralities- An agro vision for Lainate
The goal was to re-integrate the sprawled suburban realm of Lainate town, resulting in a more humane and sustainable environment. Two of the biggest challenges of Lainate region were its fragmented morphology and lack of pedestrian connections between the main markets of the town. This thesis investigated how compactness and sustainability in spatial morphology could be achieved by connecting its fragments through landscape, by providing community agriculture in the voids and by laying a pedestrian network.
This project was a part of final Thesis for the Master Course in Urban Vision and Architectural Design, according to the Brief, Lainate- New strategies for green development, in collaboration with Comune di Lainate.
